Alexandar Krstic, down from its 20 years old, studying electronics and lives with his parents at Nis. This sounds like the french town called "Nice" in "Côte d'Azur" with the difference that this city is located in southeastern Serbia. Alexandar is a completely normal student except that he has the distinction of being endowed with video games like few players can boast of being. Talented enough to have once been nicknamed "The Beast" by his friends, a nickname that will resume later by adding three letters. Beastyqt was born.

The Serbian player of the Empire Team (ranked #1 world on ladder) shows his teeth in competition, evidenced by his semifinals in both Go4sc2 and ZOTAC this Sunday, or during the GameCreds's Final Monday. His recent perfomances led us to propose an interview to learn more about him and his life and for happiness of all he has accepted with pleasure.

Before explaining in detail the current situation, first things first. Beastyqt (who also added "qt" his nickname for the simple reason that "Beasty" seemed too short) playing video games since the age of 5 years and discovered eSport at the age of 15. Therefore it begins to reach a large multi-level games, but each time he reached the gates of the recognition he gets tired and withdraws from the game. Starcraft II is the first game where he participated in tournaments and tries to make a name.

When the game arrives in stores, Alexandar did not intend to buy or to play it, but one of his friends harassed him for three weeks and finally told him "dude, try it and if you don't love it so ... leave it. " Beastyqt then connects to the account of his friend, and resists two weeks before buying his own game. The engine is started.

Since he trains hard and has a level that allows him to drop any European player. "I am currently between 5 and 15 games in ladder depending on my feelings and tournaments of the day. I also do custom games when I want to work some strategies or  match-ups. And I never watch replays because when I lose,  most of the time I know  why I lost " he explained.

When asked what his family thinks of this passion, this is what he replies: "Haha, eSport is not well developed in Serbia and many people find it odd that you can play a game while earning money. At first my family thought it was a waste of time, but now I think they realize that this is not necessarily a bad thing. As for my friends, they have always believed in me and supported me. "

Alexandar is someone who is very dear to his family, a very important value in Serbia, and he will not leave the country immediately. However, "Serbia is a great country but in terms of eSport I will be better elsewhere" he admitted here. One day or other he may be temporarily brought away from his home nation to experience more passion if the national scene does not develop quickly. Do not worry anyway, right now the contract that binds him to the structure Empire allows him to "live better than most people in Serbia."

Niš

After giving us this info, "The Beast" continues the discussion by sending an advice to all those who wish to, one day, reach the highest level: "Stop blaming other races when you lose (which I always do though: D) and when you understand that you are not as good as you thought, you'll be able to improve and become a better player ready to drive. "

As for his goals, he wants to eventually be part of the best Terran in the world and participate in numerous LAN (we will see elsewhere in Copenhagen from April 21). Unfortunately for the French fans, he has no plans at present to enroll in a LAN in France. However this does not delay when you know he likes the country.

On his team and the recent arrival of Nerchio, Beastyqt is more than happy and considers his new teammate as one of the best European Zerg. For his part "Bad Manner," he advises viewers not to take the challenge of Polish first degree: "relax and play!". Conversely, when asked about Naniwa (who left Empire when came Beastyqt) Serbian says he is not surprised by the stories and rumors of tensions caused by the  Swedish Protoss.

Next Alexandar Krstic gave us his opinion on game balance and state of the European scene. Selected moments: "I think the maps are beginning to be balanced except Scrap Station where most matches are played on only two or three bases. In terms of races, I think it would diminish the effectiveness of the sentry and forcefields. On the European stage it is too bad that some days we have lots of tournaments and other days nothing. Should be that the organizations manage to merge their tournaments and create new ones much larger and interesting. Finally, we lack "progamers houses" where the players live together and train together as is the case in Korea. Moreover we are not quite hardcore gamers compared to Korean and that's why there are more top Korean players".

Conclude this interview on a series of questions from viewers of the WebTV Facebook page M&Z and a series of funny questions.

What are your influences play as terran? European or Korean? And do you have a favorite terran player? (Question of Draken)

I train with Kas and discuss strategies, it is probably the only European who has influence on my game. In Korea i like watching MVP because he does not cheeses and he always plays agressively to win, which is my favorite way to lead a party :).

How do you see the evolution of eSports in Europe? (Question of Douarph)

It's getting really good, but I think Europe should focus more on big leagues rather than multiple small tournaments.

What Unit(s) of Brood War would you see reappear in SC2? (Question of Yoshi)
I played Brood War only three or four months and I played Zerg. But I think it would be cool to see some vultures with mines, and scourges instead of Corruptors that are pretty boring: D.

 What is your favorite sport?
Football even if Serbia isn't so good at it at the moment, and tennis because we're darn good ! DJOKOVIC FIGHTING!

The woman of your dreams?
I will answer you when I find one.

Your favorite dish?
Mashed potato mixed with chicken, I could eat that h24 7/7d.

The worst dream of your life?
One night I dreamed that someone with a scary face came into my room, I woke up and my door began to really open by itself. It was the wind. I had the biggest chills of my life: D.

Which celebrity would you put a slap?
I would slap any female celebrity with a nice ass ^^.

The most imba race?
-----> P R O T O S S <-----

Your average APM?
Between 120 and 180 depending on my mood (and I don't spam in early game)

Your preferred unit of each race?
The marines, the sentry, and baneling.

It's nice right now in Serbia?
It was really cold last month, but now it's really good. Neither hot nor cold, just perfect!

Go, the last word is yours.
I would like to thank all my fans who support me, it means a lot to me and my team. And a big thank you to our sponsor Thermaltake for their big support!
