Australian squad qualified to the Six Invitational, Mindfreak confessed to us throught Flanked.
By winning the Major Cup ANZ, the australians from TheCursedLegion qualified for the Six Invitational. Recently recruted by Mindfreak, references structure for the Oceanian continent, Acez and his team will be representing their new colors at Montreal but also the Australia-New Zeland scene, for her very first come out. We interviewed with Flanked before the hostilities in order to talk about Siege, esport, Australia and of course Six Invitational.
*aAa* : How do you see the future of Siege ?
Flanked : Siege has grown so much over Year One and has proven to create a dynamic game for its fan base to enjoy. The announcement of Year Two has shown great promise towards the games persisting playability and hopefully it will thrive into a third year.
For you, what Ubisoft need to do to make the game reach the top ?Ubisoft have done a fantastic job in developing Siege, althought there are a few things that could increase the games durability and that could possibly be by merging servers for the smaller communities such as ANZ itself.
The Six Invitational will be the first LAN event ever for an australian teams, and you and Mindfreak are gonna be representing australian's colors. A kind of pressure ?It is definitely a great honor to represent Australia in its first LAN event for Siege and there is some pressure revolving around us due to being the Underdogs.
What are your feelings about playing new teams in this international event, especially the World Champions from Vitality or a part of eLevate ?Being the first ANZ team to compete in a Siege LAN event against international teams with more experience can be very daughting coming from a smaller community, altought we as Mindfreak see this as an opportunity to show what the ANZ community has to offer in terms off eSports.
You won the Major Cup ANZ to qualify for the event, and you're kind of unknown for the others team and have a challeger status. Ho will you take the best of it ?Being the unknown team definitly plays in our favor due to varying meta's between international teams and ours hopefully being unknown.
What's the team your the most confident / inconfident to play ?Being our first LAN event, we are competing against the best around the world who have much more experience than us in the competitive scene so its pratically hard to be confident against any team, especially with the title of "World Champions" on the line.
If you had to make the ranking of the tournament, what would be it ? (without your team)It would be hard to say since all team are capable althought our picks for rankings would most likely go:
